Environment Minister Yassmin Fouad asserted the necessity that the new collective cumulative goal for climate finance should achieve balance between developing and developed countries and stand on the needs of the developing countries in addition to allocating a big part of it to measures of adaptation with climate change.

Fouad asserted the importance of providing good mechanism to detect the finances of the developed countries.

This came in Fouad’s bilateral meetings on the sidelines of her participation in the preparations of COP29 in Baku to discuss the latest developments of the consultations on the new collective cumulative goal for climate finance.

Fouad met with Singaporean Sustainability Minister Grace Fu and her accompanying delegation, heads of the US and Chinese delegations in presence of Assistant Foreign Minister Wael Abul Magd and Advisor of the environment minister for climate change Amr Osama.
