Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad asserted the importance of introducing incentives and legislation to accelerate transition to green economy, voicing her appreciation for including the climate change file on the agenda of the World Government Summit (WGS).
Addressing the summit, Fouda said the UN Climate Conference, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh in November, came up with 30 recommendations to counter the climate change.
She called for continuing work and coordination among various countries to mitigate the impact of climate change and pressed the need for using all potentials and technologies to secure a quick transition to green economy and providing the necessary funding for this step.
