Environment min. launches campaign to promote S. Sinai’s nature reserves

Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad has launched a promotional campaign for South Sinai nature reserves under the slogan “Eco South Sinai”, in view of preparations for the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) that is set to be held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh next November.

The move also comes as part of Eco Egypt campaign, which promotes ecotourism in the country and seeks to mainstream biodiversity into the Egyptian tourism sector.

“Eco South Sinai” has been mounted in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in addition to the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) that will serve as a sponsor for the campaign.

The campaign aims to promote nature reserves and help introduce a new and valuable ecotourism product including several ecotourism experiences, such as local communities in addition to the most significant ecotourism destinations and activities in South Sinai reserves.

The campaign will be promoted through print and digital advertising, as well as a 360-degree virtual panorama tours.
