DORTMUND: The England national football team has reached the final of the UEFA Euro 2024 after defeating the Netherlands 2-1 in the semifinal match held today at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany.
The Netherlands took the lead through Xavi Simons in the 7th minute, but Harry Kane equalised for England in the 14th minute from the penalty spot. In an unexpected turn of events, Ollie Watkins secured the winning goal in stoppage time (90+1).
England will face Spain in the final, scheduled for next Sunday at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, after Spain’s 2-1 victory over France on Tuesday.
