The Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai College of Tourism and its strategic partners, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the NAFIS programme, and the Community Development Authority in Dubai, hosted a Hospitality Industry Open Day that resulted in more than 100 job opportunities for Emirati candidates.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to empower Emiratis to enter the private sector and aligns with the UAE’s Emiratisation strategy.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, said, ‘This event empowers Emirati talent to join vital sectors like hospitality, a cornerstone of our economy. Through initiatives like these, we are not only opening up career opportunities but also contributing to the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to establish Dubai as one of the world’s top urban economies. The event attracted top hospitality brands and individual hotels, offering Emiratis various roles across leading global hotels. The Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai was established by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
It includes representatives from both the government and private sectors, aiming to create a reference entity representing stakeholders involved in the development of Emirati human resources in the private sector in Dubai, ensuring an attractive and stimulating environment for attracting Emirati human resources, and ensuring the alignment of Emirati students’ educational outcomes with the labor market requirements in the emirate according to strategic sectors.
