‘Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition’ kicks off at Expo Centre Sharjah with 100% increase in exhibitors


SHARJAH: The second edition of the Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition kicked off yesterday evening, Friday, at Expo Centre Sharjah and will continue till 13th October.

Organised by the Centre with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the exhibition features 100 exhibitors and over 500 major local and global perfume brands, marking a 100 percent increase in the number of exhibitors compared to the inaugural edition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, in the presence of several board members of the Sharjah Chamber.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber, and Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre, as well as senior officials from both entities and distinguished guests. Also present were industry experts and executives of the top companies and brand names in the perfume industry.

Following the official launch, attendees toured the exhibition, which spanned a
n area of 8,000 square meters. They met with leading exhibitors and explored their flagship perfume products and innovations on display. They also visited the ‘Emiratis for Ouds and Perfumes’ pavilion, where they were introduced to the premium perfume exhibits showcased by leading Emiratis entrepreneurs and young professionals engaged in the fragrance business.

Abdallah Al Owais emphasised the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to supporting the perfume manufacturing and trading sector, acknowledging its significance in the broader retail landscape.

He said that specialised events play a key role in fostering communication between businesses and consumers, helping local perfume brands establish a presence in international markets and thereby promoting the industry’s potential in the UAE and the Gulf region.

Underpinned by its deep connection to the region’s authentic cultural heritage, where the appetite for luxury and oriental products is steadily increasing, the perfume industry holds promising and robust oppo
rtunities for growth and success.

Al Owais also noted that the Emirates Perfume and Oud Exhibition serves as a key driver for the sector’s growth in the local market, spurred by continuous innovation, product diversification, and enhanced competitiveness to meet evolving consumer preference.

For his part, Saif Al Midfa highlighted that the exhibition is expected to draw thousands of perfume industry’s manufactures, traders, suppliers and enthusiasts over its 10-day run. It provides visitors with opportunity to acquire the latest perfumes and authentic oriental fragrances, while allowing participating exhibitors to showcase their innovations in this field.

He pointed out that the second edition of the Emirates Perfumes and Oud Exhibition builds on the substantial success of its first edition last year, leading to a 100 percent increase in the number of exhibitors this year. This reflects the strong confidence that both exhibitors and visitors place in Expo Centre Sharjah and its leading role in the exhibiti
on industry across various specialties.

This year’s edition brings together the perfume industry’s major manufactures and experts under one roof, showcasing a diverse array of global and local perfume products. It features a grand showcase of exquisite oriental Arabian fragrances and premium Oud that embody the essence and authenticity of Emirati and Gulf heritage.

It also serves as a key platform for local businesses and perfume industry professionals to connect with leading global fragrance manufacturers and distributors, strike business deals, and establish strategic partnerships in the fragrance world.
