Emigration Minister Soha Gendi held on Friday a meeting with senior Egyptian doctors, who are working abroad, on the sidelines of their participation in the annual international conference of Egyptian doctors and scientists in Egypt and abroad.
Gendi expressed her pride in the doctors’ successes abroad, describing them as Egypt’s soft power, saying her meeting with them came to listen to their opinions, ideas, and suggestions about developing the Egyptian medical sector.
Gendi pointed to the Emigration Ministry’s efforts to establish a database for Egyptian experts and scientists living abroad, noting the state is keen on benefitting from their expertise.
All the doctors’ suggestions and ideas will be submitted before Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour to coordinate on how to implement them to improve Egypt’s medical and research sector.
