Emigration min. respond to students returning from Ukraine

Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram said the ministry responded to a request by a number of students returning from Ukraine, who want to study in Egyptian universities, in coordination with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

In a statement Thursday, the ministry said the response came upon political leadership’s directives to contain repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian military operation and help all students who want to come back to Egypt to join universities in the country.

Makram affirmed efforts are focused now on finding all possible solutions to help them complete their academic studies in Egyptian universities in view of extraordinary circumstances facing Ukraine at present.

The cabinet had announced a central test will be conducted for the students to know more about their levels, skills and qualifications in the different specializations, she added.

The statement said registration is now open to students, who failed to submit their papers in full to have their placement tests and register all their personal data at https://forms.gle/4DNr7LWzTXAYdT6y6.
