Emigration min. meets delegation from “Decent Life” Foundation

Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi has met with a delegation from the “Decent Life” Foundation to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Gendi emphasized her ministry’s keenness on promoting cooperation with the foundation within the upcoming phase.

Gendi also underlined the need of exerting more efforts to invite the Egyptian expatriates to contribute to the development projects implemented by the foundation.

The meeting further discussed the possibility of broadening the scope of cooperation with Egypt Without Disease Foundation, which is specialized in providing healthcare services.

Gendi, meanwhile, said that during her upcoming meeting with the Egyptian expatriates she will cast a spotlight on the State’s efforts as regards the “Decent Life” national project.

The Egyptian expatriates are keen on participating in the development projects in the country, she affirmed during the meeting.

Director of External Relations at the Decent Life Foundation Shana Masoud, for her part, said that the foundation looks forward to forging more cooperation with the Emigration Ministry in several spheres in the upcoming period.

The foundation also welcomes the emigration minister’s invitation to participate in the filed visits paid by the governorates exporting the highest number of illegal migrants, she added. The visits are part of the “Life Saving Boats” presidential initiative.

Masoud, meanwhile, referred to the cooperation spheres between the foundation and the Emigration Ministry, saying that they cover several activities, including promoting digital literacy classes and mobile theatres.
