Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram held a coordination meeting with Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Hisham Tawfik to prepare for “Egypt Can by Industry” conference, to be held in the first quarter of 2022 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The meeting was held for the first time at the Emigration Ministry headquarters in the New Administrative Capital in the presence of representatives for the ministries of trade and industry, higher education, military production and agriculture as well as for the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce.
The conference is held as per President Sisi’s directives on benefiting from the Egyptian experts abroad in the sustainable development plans of the State’ 2030 strategy.
Makram said this is the 6th edition of “Egypt Can” conferences which come as part of the Egyptian State’s approach towards pushing up industry and production.
The meeting took up discussions on the preliminary schedule of the conference, which included a number of key workshops addressing various areas of the industrial sector.
Meanwhile, the public enterprise sector minister said it is very important to support the industrial sector in parallel with backing the trade sector as both are complementary.
The country needs to open new markets for the Egyptian product, he said, stressing the necessity of unifying efforts and achieving integration to boost the local manufacturing to cope up with the international quality standards.
