Cairo: Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA) announced the launch of a tripartite partnership with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and the Egyptian Medical Syndicate to support private healthcare providers seeking to join the universal health insurance system.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement aims to provide low-cost financing for small and medium-sized medical projects that meet the accreditation standards set by the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR).
The financing will be available through NBE branches in the governorate that provide the universal healthcare insurance – Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan – as well as Matrouh.
