Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine el Kabbag said that social protection policies for most vulnerable groups are getting stronger, noting that the State not only offers cash support, but there are also other programs that ensure equal health and educational opportunities for all citizens.
Kabbag made the remarks during a press conference she held on Thursday 25/8/2022 at the Cabinet’s headquarters in New Alamein City.
Social protection policies for the groups most in need are getting stronger at times of economic crises, which asserts Egypt’s commitment to human rights policies and investment in people in a way that ensures a decent life for all, she noted.
Meanwhile, the minister said 48 percent of those covered under the Takaful and Karama social protection program are children under the age of 18.
