The Egyptian Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, Literary and Artistic Works announced that the sector’s exports from January to June 2022 rose by 37 percent to hit dlrs 614.6 million, compared to dlrs 449.4 million in the same period of 2021.

In its monthly report, the council said that the exports of packaging rose by 30 percent to reach dlrs 363.9 million against dlrs 280.1 million in the same period of last year.

Also, paper exports went up by 30 percent to register dlrs 232.5 million against dlrs 142.3 million in the corresponding period last year.

Exports of flexible packaging films upped by 31 percent to record dlrs 223.8 million in the first half of 2022 against dlrs 171.3 million in the same period last year.
