Cairo: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated on Thursday the New Valley agricultural exhibition in Kharga city at the end of his visit to New Valley governorate: The exhibition is held under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in cooperation between the agriculture and industry ministries.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Prime Minister Madbouli toured different sections of the exhibition. New Valley Governor Mohamed Zamlout said the exhibition covers domains of sustainable green economy, smart irrigation, and solar energy in addition to dates products. He mentioned that the exhibition aims to boost startups as well as micro- and small-sized companies operating in the agricultural domain and to increase grains production to meet local consumption needs and export the surplus.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to bring together farmers, manufacturers, importers, and supply chains. During the tour, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of taking measures and
carrying out scenarios that ensure preparedness in addressing any crises or emergencies related to rainfall in New Valley governorate.
The premier inspected special equipment of the drinking water and drainage sectors during his visit to the June 30 water station in Kharga city in the governorate as part of his trip to the New Valley. Madbouli’s visit aimed at officially opening several development and service projects.
Additionally, Madbouli inspected Kharga Youth City, taking a keen interest in the main building and conference hall during his visit to the New Valley Governorate.
