Cairo: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty, met with Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Monday during the Rome MED Dialogues Forum.
According to State Information Service Egypt, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting centered on developments in Lebanon and ongoing negotiations to achieve a ceasefire. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s steadfast support for empowering Lebanon’s national institutions, especially the Lebanese Army, while emphasizing the importance of implementing all aspects of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 by all parties.
Minister Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s commitment to supporting Lebanon during its critical juncture. He noted the recent delivery of 21 tons of food and essential supplies on November 13 to aid displaced individuals. This gesture underscores Egypt’s consistent efforts to alleviate the humanitarian challenges facing Lebanon.
