Kinshasa: Egypt’s Ambassador to Congo, Eman Yakout, engaged in discussions with Congolese Minister of Cultural, Tourism, Artistic and Leisure Industry, Marie-France Lydie Helene, focusing on enhancing cooperation between the two nations in the cultural and artistic sectors. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to fostering deeper bilateral relations in these fields.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the dialogue also explored strategies to attract more Congolese tourists to Egypt. Ambassador Yakout emphasized Egypt’s keen interest in exchanging expertise with Congo, particularly in the areas of museum development and the restoration of archaeological artifacts. She expressed anticipation of Minister Helene’s visit for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
Minister Helene highlighted the robust and profound cultural and artistic connections between the two countries, reinforcing the importance of continued collaboration and mutual support in these domains.
