Egypt’s Ambassador to Hungary, Mohamed El-Shennawy, met with Hungarian President Tamás Schmitt and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during a ceremony organized by the Hungarian presidency to commemorate the anniversary of the October 1956 Revolution.

Ambassador El-Shennawy conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s congratulations to both officials and the Hungarian people on this significant anniversary, as well as the President’s best wishes for Hungary’s stability and prosperity.

In response, the Hungarian leaders expressed their appreciation for President El-Sisi and acknowledged Egypt’s vital role as a stabilizing force in the Middle East. They also conveyed their eagerness to facilitate the President’s upcoming visit to Hungary, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between Egypt and Hungary, which has gained significant momentum in recent years.
