Egypt’s allocates LE 711.8 million to the medical sector

Within the budget of the current fiscal year, the government directed about 711.8 million pounds to the medical sector, with an increase of 56.1 million pounds compared to the allocations of the previous fiscal year, which amounted to 655.6 million pounds, according to the report of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee on the state’s general plan and budget for the current fiscal year.

The report confirmed that the House of Representatives recommended directing additional support to this sector at a value of 150 million pounds, in view of the double health services that the medical institution provides during this period due to the Corona pandemic.

It is noteworthy that the therapeutic institution was established by a presidential decree in 1964 to provide treatment services at economic prices for the middle classes and includes a number of hospitals, and the institution is a non-profit entity.

The Ministry of Health had announced in a recent statement that the hospitals of the therapeutic institution provided their medical and treatment services to about 58,938 frequent outpatient clinics, in addition to providing emergency services to 14,147 patients in the reception departments, in addition to 9440 cases that were booked in the internal and care departments. center, and about 313 births in nurseries departments.
