The Egyptian-British committee held a meeting on Thursday 23/6/2022 at the Foreign Ministry headquarters to prepare for the first joint council meeting which is set to be held soon.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ihab Nassr, UK Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bayley and a number of Egyptian and British officials.

They discussed Egypt’s national strategy to attract foreign investments including British ones in the fields of new and renewable energy and green hydrogen production.

The meeting also reviewed the impact of the Ukrainian crisis on global food security and the Egyptian economy and means of fostering mutual cooperation in the trade and investment domains.
