Cairo: Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Ai-Shami at the government headquarters in the Administrative Capital. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to bolster cooperation between the two nations in the aftermath of the recent conflict.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by Deputy Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Ambassador Ihab Fahmy. During the discussions, Madbouly reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Lebanon and expressed his welcome for the ceasefire that took effect on November 27, 2024.
Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized Egypt’s dedication to ensuring the continuity of the ceasefire and the full implementation of UN Resolution 1701. He also highlighted Egypt’s readiness to assist in Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts and strengthen state institutions as part of a broader strategy to support the nation’s recovery and stability.
