Cairo: The Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on Sunday with the Association of Arab Universities and the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC) to extend its services across the Arab region.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreements focus on collaboration in areas such as learning tools, access to digital content, scientific publishing systems, professional training workshops, and knowledge exchange through research and database creation. They also aim to enhance the global ranking of Egyptian universities.
On the sidelines of the signing, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met with representatives of international publishing houses, highlighting Egypt’s commitment to sharing the EKB model with Arab countries and expressing pride in the initiative’s success.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Ayman Ashour highlighted the EKB’s pivotal role in supporting Egyptian researchers and announced ongoing cooperation with UNESCO to promote this pioneering experience in higher education and scientific research.
