Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa met Sunday with his Jordanian counterpart Mohammad Khalayleh to probe means of boosting cooperation.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 33rd conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
During the meeting, Gomaa reviewed efforts exerted by the Awqaf Ministry for spreading the moderate teachings of Islam and countering the extremist thoughts.
Concluding the meeting, Gomaa gifted Khalayleh with copies of the Awqaf Ministries’ publications, a move that was appreciated by the Jordanian minister, who in turn praised the efforts and stances of the Egyptian ministry in renewing discourse and raising the awareness of youths.
