Egyptian-Indo Joint Training Exercise “CYCLONE-3” Concluded


Cairo: Egypt and India concluded the 3rd edition of Joint Special Forces Exercise CYCLONE which commenced at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan in India a few days ago.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Exercise CYCLONE is an annual event conducted alternatively in India and Egypt. An almost fortnight-long joint military exercise between Indian and Egyptian armies began at Mahajan Field Firing Range in India, an Indian military spokesperson said.

The last edition of the exercise was held in Egypt in January 2024, he said. The exercise included members from two battalions of Special Forces from the Indian and Egyptian military contingent, as well as lectures on military operations where the soldiers from the two sides showed excellent performance in hitting the targets.

The training included the implementation of several major training activities to exchange expertise and skills between the participating elements from both sides. The drill comes within the framework of the joint training
plan of the Egyptian Armed Forces with their counterparts from brotherly and friendly nations.
