Egyptian, Greek FMs stress depth of strategic ties

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias stressed the depth of strategic relations between their countries in light of the existing coordination on all issues of common concern.

During a joint press conference on Sundau 9/10/2022, Shoukry said he held fruitful talks with Dendias that tackled means of fostering bilateral ties in various fields, as well as the exchange of views on different issues.

The top Egyptian diplomat added Egypt and Greece are committed to continuing bilateral coordination and working to advance trade ties, especially in the sector of renewable energy.

He stated that Egypt and Greece signed two years ago a maritime demarcation deal that establishes an exclusive economic zone between the two countries, affirming that this agreement was sealed in accordance with the norms of international law.
