Egyptian Embassy in La Paz organizes cultural week to highlight Egypt’s heritage


The Egyptian Embassy in La Paz organized activities of the Egyptian Cultural Week in cooperation with the culture ministry, private universities and centers of thought in Bolivia.

The move is part of efforts the embassies abroad are exerting to highlight the cultural contribution and the civilizational heritage Egypt is having.

The measure is also meant to strengthen Egypt’s weight and soft power influence and comes in coincidence with celebrations of the anniversary of October War victory.

Egyptian Ambassador in La Paz Hatem el Nashar said in statements on Saturday 19/10/2024 that the cultural week, which was attended by a galaxy of senior state officials and was given wide media coverage, included a number of events, including an exhibition of photographs about Cairo and another exhibition about Pharaonic Egypt, the screening of a number of films translated into Spanish and publications on culture and tourism in Egypt as well as brief introductory publications on national Egyptian projects.

The activiti
es also included folkloric and Egyptian cuisine shows, whether inside the Bolivian national theater or in major public squares, as well as organizing a lecture on tourism in Egypt and a symposium on equality in society and the empowerment of Egyptian women.
