Cairo: The Egyptian Armed Forces released a statement on Sunday detailing the successful interception of various smuggling attempts by Border Guards across all strategic fronts. The statement highlighted the significant efforts made to curb illegal activities along the nation’s borders.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Border Guards managed to confiscate a range of drugs, including cannabis, hydro, opium, cocaine, and strox, along with various kinds of tablets. In addition to drug seizures, the forces also captured shotguns and bullets, demonstrating a comprehensive crackdown on illicit arms smuggling.
The Border Guards’ operations extended beyond smuggling, as they also prevented attempts of illegal gold mining and arrested individuals involved in illegal migration, comprising different nationalities. These measures underline the commitment of the Egyptian Border Guards to maintaining security and order.
The statement emphasized the continuous and intensive efforts by the Border Guards to
exercise control over Egypt’s border ports and crossings, ensuring the nation’s borders remain secure against threats.
