Egyptian and Jordanian Ministers Meet to Boost Trade.


Amman: On the sidelines of the second day of the Regional Forum on Accelerating Food Systems Transformation in the Arab Region, held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Dr. Sharif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade of Egypt, held a bilateral meeting with Eng. Yarab Al-Qudah, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply of Jordan, to discuss enhancing joint cooperation and intensifying trade exchange between the two countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, both parties affirmed the deep-rooted relations between the sisterly countries of Egypt and Jordan. Dr. Sharif Farouk emphasized the importance of intensifying joint trade cooperation to maximize the benefits of available resources and meet the needs of local markets in both countries.

He highlighted Egypt’s openness to enhancing cooperation in various sectors with neighboring countries, referring to the steps taken by the Egyptian state recently to improve the investment climate and encourage the private sector to in
vest in Egypt, especially since there are promising investment opportunities in Egypt in the sectors of domestic trade, food industries, silos, and storage.

For his part, Eng. Yarab Al-Qudah praised the success of the Egyptian experience in the field of food security, expressing his aspiration to enhance trade exchange between the two countries and establish joint investments in cooperation with the private sector and investors in both countries.
