Egypt’s ambassador to France Alaa Youssef held a reception for the Egyptian players participating in the 2024 Summer Paralympics, also known as the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The reception was attended by Chairman of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee (EPC) Hossam Eldin Moustafa, members of the Committee’s Board of Directors, Assistant Youth and Sports Minister Amr Haddad, Director of the Central Administration of Specific Federations Mahmoud Abdelaziz, in addition to a group of players participating in the tournament’s competitions.
The Egyptian ambassador reviewed existing coordination between the Egyptian embassy in Paris and the EPC over the past period to remove all obstacles facing the Egyptian Paralympic mission.
He also asserted the embassy’s continued support for the Egyptian mission to achieve sporting excellence and clinch medals for Egypt.
For his part, the EPC chairman commended the Egyptian embassy’s role in facilitating visa procedures and the presence of the mission in France.
The 2024
Paris Paralympic Games is taking place in Paris from August 28 to September 8.
The Egyptian mission groups 54 male and female athletes competing in 10 sports (Para powerlifting – Para athletics – sitting volleyball – goalball – Para swimming – Para table tennis – Para taekwondo – Boccia – Para rowing – Para canoe).
During its previous participations in the Paralympic Games, Egypt has won 184 medals; 49 gold, 68 silver and 67 bronze.
