Egypt’s Ambassador in Bucharest Moayad el Dalie hailed efforts exerted by the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on the Ukrainian-Romanian borders as it is the first Arab team participating in the relief efforts at the crossings there.

Dalie was speaking on Friday during his meeting with Director of the Health Department of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society Mahmoud Tharwat and ERC Operations Room Supervisor Moustafa Refaat before returning to Egypt, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

ERC team set up a permanent tent at Siret border crossing and trained a number of Egyptian and Romanian volunteers in Siret, Isaccea, and Sighet.

The team offered the ERC volunteer uniforms to the ambassador in appreciation for the Egyptian Embassy in Bucharest’s efforts to facilitate the Egyptian team mission at the borders.
