Egyptian Air Force celebrates 40th anniversary of 1st F16 aircraft landing in Egypt

The Egyptian Air Force (EAF) has celebrated the 40th anniversary of the landing of the F-16 Fighting Falcon on the Egyptian lands in the presence of representatives of the air forces and the US Lockheed Martin along with a number of the senior officials at the US Embassy in Egypt among others.

Commander of the EAF Mohamed Abbas Helmi delivered a speech during the celebration, in which he conveyed greetings of Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff Osama Askar to the attendees.

He affirmed that the Armed Forces General Command is keen to provide the Egyptian Air Force with the State-of-the-art multi-role fighter jets and aircraft as well as the advanced navigation devices to cope up with the constant technological development in the aviation field.

In his speech, the representative of the US Lockheed Martin affirmed the deeply-rooted bilateral relations between the Egyptian Air Force and the company, expressing his keenness to further joint cooperation between both sides in the coming stage.
