EgyptAir operated an exceptional flight to bring back the stranded Egyptians to their homeland amid ongoing developments in Lebanon, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation in a statement.
The Ministry added that this flight is the third one bringing back the Egyptian expats from Lebanon amid the Israeli war on this Arab country.
The Flight No. 1711 MS departed from Cairo International Airport at 2:30 PM, carrying 22 tons of humanitarian aid and medical supplies provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent.
On the return flight, the aircraft transported 298 Egyptian citizens wishing to return from Beirut to Cairo, the statement continued.
