Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad said Egypt is moving ahead toward integrating the environmental dimension into all sectors to maximize the benefit from resources, achieve sustainable development and shift to green economy.
This is expected to contribute to boosting investment into eco-friendly projects, providing new jobs and rationalizing energy use, in addition to reducing pollution, she added.
Fouad’s remarks came during her speech on Thursday 24/2/2022 at an international conference on the legal entrepreneurship, in the presence of Arab Parliament Speaker Adel al Assoumi.
She asserted that Egypt issued a number of laws to preserve the environment and natural reserves, in addition to limiting pollution.
She concluded that the Egyptian government gives top priority to countering climate change, as it took several measures to address this phenomenon.
