Egypt has been working hard to reintegrate released inmates included in the presidential pardon list into society, a well-informed official says.
Karim el Sakka, a member of the presidential pardon committee, said on Tuesday 10/1/2023 the freed prisoners are not considered guilty, assuring that they take part in the different gatherings and express their views clearly and frankly.
He was speaking during a debate organized by the coordination committee of parties’ youth and politicians earlier today.
It is a new philosophy that perceives prisons as rehabilitation and reform centers, Sakka stressed, calling it “a respectful approach by the Egyptian state”.
