Cairo: Egypt’s Ministry of Transport has announced the construction of seven integrated logistic corridors across the nation to connect production areas, including industrial, agricultural, and mining zones, to maritime ports and urban hubs.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this initiative is in line with the country’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to establish Egypt as a regional hub for logistics, transportation, and transit trade. The strategic development aims to enhance the national transport network, facilitating more efficient movement of goods and bolstering economic growth.
The integrated logistic corridors include the Sokhna-Alexandria Logistic Corridor, Arish-Taba Logistic Corridor, Cairo-Alexandria Logistic Corridor, Tanta-Mansoura-Damietta Logistic Corridor, Gargoub-Salloum Logistic Corridor, Cairo-Aswan-Abu Simbel Logistic Corridor, and Safaga-Qena-Abu Tartur Logistic Corridor.
