Cairo: Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat engaged in discussions with UAE Investment Minister Mohamed Alsuwaidi on Thursday, focusing on enhancing partnership and investments in the electricity and renewable energy sectors.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Esmat highlighted the strong and longstanding relations between Egypt and the UAE, noting the productive cooperation and successful partnerships with UAE companies in the energy field. He emphasized that Egypt has implemented all necessary measures to encourage private sector involvement in new and renewable energy projects, particularly in wind and solar energy.

Minister Esmat further assured that the government is committed to removing any obstacles that may impede investments in the energy sector, aiming to foster a more conducive environment for investment growth and collaboration between Egypt and UAE entities.
