Riyadh: Egypt won 4 awards at the International Modern Pentathlon Federation Awards Ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the 72nd International Federation Congress meeting held on November 16-17.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ahmed El Gendy, the gold medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, was honored with the Best Player in the World Award for 2024. Additionally, Moataz Wael received recognition as the Best Young Player, highlighting the promising talent emerging from Egypt.
Egypt’s outstanding performances and contributions in the sport were further recognized with the Best Country Award, celebrating the significant accomplishments achieved by the Egyptian Federation throughout the year 2024. Furthermore, the World Junior Championship, hosted at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, was awarded the best-marketed championship, showcasing Egypt’s capability in organizing prestigious sporting events.
