Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea said on Friday Egypt will host the first meeting of the higher committee of the Integrative Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, signed by Egypt, Jordan and the UAE in July.
Gamea’s remarks came during her virtual meeting with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber and Jordanian Minister of Industry Trade and Supply Yousef Al Shamali.
Gamea said the UAE and Jordanian ministers asserted their countries’ keenness to rapidly activate the initiative and implement it, adding the meeting reviewed the initiative’s modus operandi and the higher committee’s main functions and objectives.
She also said she agreed with the UAE and Jordanian ministers on preparing a map for priority projects and lists of qualified companies as well as simplifying business procedures and removing obstacles hampering joint investments, capital flows and free trade movement.
