Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) Sherifa Sherif has discussed at a meeting with Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Cairo Jörgen Persson cooperation with Sweden in sustainable development.
During the meeting, Sherif said the NIGSD has been working since its establishment to provide research and consultancy services in the areas of governance and sustainable development.
The NIGSD director posted Persson on the “She is for a Digital Future” training program, which is carried out in cooperation with CISCO and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The program is aimed at bridging the digital gender divide, through strengthening the role of women in digital transformation and digital literacy by training female candidates from Egyptian universities and the government sector without discrimination.
Sherif concluded that the program includes training 2,000 women as a first stage, with a target of reaching 8,000 women in 2022.
