Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla on Tuesday 14/2/2023witnessed the signing of nine memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements with a number of global companies.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2023), according to a statement released by the Petroleum Ministry.
The Petroleum Ministry signed a training agreement with Kuwait Energy Egypt to sponsor a number of training programs and workshops as part of the ministry’s capacity-building scheme for operations safety and asset integration teams, the statement added.
This program aims to enhance the technical and administrative competence of personnel in the middle leadership at production sites after passing technical and administrative assessments in accordance with the latest international practices, the statement read.
The ministry and Italy’s Eni inked an MoU to cooperate in training the middle management’s cadres.
ENPPI company signed a cooperation agreement with oilfield services company Schlumberger in the field of energy transition, engineering designs, as well as exploration and production activities through deep-water drilling.
The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) sealed a contract to sell and purchase quantities of heavy Qarun crude with Greece’s biggest oil refiner Hellenic Petroleum.
This contract is expected to contribute to maximizing the added-value of crude oil produced by Egypt’s Qarun Petroleum company.
EGPC also signed an MoU with the US Oracle Corporation to cooperate in providing the latest digital solutions and programs.
Misr Petroleum company signed an agreement to manufacture, mix and market lubricant products of the Oman Oil Marketing company.
The Oman Oil Marketing company also sealed a second agreement with the Alexandria Company for Petroleum Additives (ACPA) to produce, mix and fill lubricating oils in Egypt.
The Tanmia Petroleum company inked an MoU with the Huawei Technologies Egypt to cooperate in applying digital solutions and green energy to the Egyptian oil sector.
