Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati on Tuesday 26/10/2021 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Senegalese Minister of Water and Sanitation Serigne Mbaye Thiam, on the sidelines of the Fourth Cairo Water Week.

Under the MoU, the two countries would cooperate in making preparations for water events, such as the 9th World Water Forum, which is scheduled for next year in Senegal, along with water weeks hosted by Cairo.

It is also meant to strengthen cooperation between public and private water organizations in the two countries, as well as exchange experiences in the fields of geographical information systems, remote sensing and flood forecasting.
