Egypt Sees Surge in Food Exports with 173,000 Tons Shipped in Late November.


Cairo: The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) announced on Sunday that Egypt successfully exported 173,000 tons of various food products, including vegetables, fruit, and flour, from November 23 to 29.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the NFSA’s 45th report highlighted that sweet potatoes were the top export, totaling 11,000 tons, followed by beans at 8,000 tons. The total volume of exported vegetables during this period reached 43,000 tons. Among the fruits, citrus led the export list with 18,000 tons, followed by strawberries at 5,000 tons.

The report also identified Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Turkey as the primary destinations for these Egyptian food exports.
