Egypt Seeks Pharmaceutical Collaboration with Turkey


Cairo: The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Chairman, Ali El-Ghamrawy, held a virtual meeting on Thursday with Egypt’s Ambassador to Turkey, Amr El-Hamami, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, according to the Egyptian Cabinet.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions focused on mechanisms for collaboration between the Egyptian and Turkish drug authorities, with an emphasis on exchanging industry expertise and facilitating the entry of Egyptian pharmaceutical products into the Turkish market. The meeting highlighted Egypt’s strategic role as a gateway for Turkish products to African and European markets.



Ambassador El-Hamami stressed the importance of the partnership in advancing the pharmaceutical industry, praising the potential of collaboration between the two countries.



Furthermore, El-Ghamrawy expressed his commitment to ongoing coordination with Turkey to achieve shared objectives and acknowledged the support from the Egyptian Embassy in Turkey.
