Egypt, Saudi Arabia Discuss Support Measures for Gaza


Cairo: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty discussed in a telephone call on Sunday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the upcoming actions of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee and its engagement with international stakeholders regarding the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the phone call is part of the ongoing coordination between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to follow up on efforts to reinstate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensure the implementation of its three phases amid the escalating Israeli aggression in the region.



Additionally, the two sides reviewed several regional files, exchanging views on the latest developments and stressing the importance of continued coordination to de-escalate tensions and prevent the region from sliding into further instability.
