The Health Ministry said on Thursday evening that 923 new coronavirus cases were detected in the country over the past 24 hours bringing the total number of cases to 328,209.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 55 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 18,483.

As many as 443 patients were discharged from hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recoveries to 276,801, the spokesman added.
