The Health Ministry said on Monday night 7/2/2022 that 2,272 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed infections since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country to 441,923.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said 57 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 22,993.

As many as 2,147 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 374,479 so far, the spokesman said.
