Egypt renewed its support for the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, which groups Egypt, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement on Wednesday on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the organization’s establishment the need to continue focusing on the basic objectives for which the organization was established.
Egypt has always attached great importance to the role played by the organization in promoting cooperation and solidarity among its member states, it said.
The Foreign Ministry also asserted Egypt’s keenness to continue contributing to collective efforts exerted to build a common future of prosperity and development for the D-8 countries, wishing the organization success in the coming years.
