Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee decided on Wednesday 13/7/2022 to increase the prices of fuel and diesel prices.
The new prices as per Wednesday’s hike are EGP 8 for a litre of 80-octane gasoline; EGP 9.25 for 92-octane, and EGP 10.75 for 95-octane, the committee said in a statement, noting that the decision will come into effect as of 9:00 am.
The price of diesel fuel also increased to reach EGP 7.25 for a litre, added the statement.
The committee, meanwhile, decided to increase the price of a ton of diesel fuel supplied to the rest of the industries by EGP 400, bringing the price of a ton of diesel to EGP 5,000.
The price of diesel supplied to the food and electricity industries remained stable, according to the committee.
The Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee is formed from representatives of the finance and petroleum ministries and is assigned with reviewing gasoline prices in Egypt every three months.
