Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal Wael El-Naggar and Portuguese Foreign Affairs Secretary of State Francisco André have discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations at the political and technical levels.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its Facebook page Sunday that the two sides asserted that they look forward to holding a second session of the joint committee.
Also they stressed, during their meeting, the importance of activating cooperation between Egypt and Portugal in Africa.
They tackled as well means of launching a direct flight route between the two countries through Air Cairo airline.
They emphasized the importance of the joint investment forum slated to be held in Portugal on October 3-5 as a move towards boosting economic cooperation.
The forum aims to prepare for convening the Egyptian-Portuguese business council on the sidelines of the joint committee’s coming second session.
