Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir said the Egyptian state pays great attention to empowering women which is clearly manifested in the decisions taken by the Egyptian government to create a suitable environment for female entrepreneurs to boost their involvement in all the sectors of the Egyptian economy.
This came in a word read out by Samir on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the inaugural session of the 8th Annual Conference of Businesswomen of Egypt 21 (BWE 21) held at the premises of the Arab League in the presence of Minister of Social Solidarity Niveen el Kabbag and head of the BWE 21 Yomna el Sherdy.
Samir said the studies showed that empowering women economically has positive impact on gross economy as women’s participation in workfield contributes to increasing the productivity and boosting economic growth.
Samir asserted the importance of rallying efforts with the partners in the private sector, civil society and international organizations to build a more sustainable future for business in Egypt.
He said the Egyptian government is aware of the importance of diversifying trade to achieve sustainability, asserting that the government is working on creating business environment capable of appreciating important contributions of female entrepreneurs in the sectors of agriculture, manufacturing and services.
