Egypt has expressed heartfelt condolences to the Iraqi government and brotherly people over the victims of a landslide in the central province of Karbala, causing casualties.
In a statement Sunday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt’s full support of Iraq in this ordeal, wishing
a speedy recovery to all wounded.
It also hoped the ongoing strenuous efforts to free at least six people trapped under rubble would succeed soon.
Iraqi rescue officials said Sunday they had recovered four bodies from the rubble of a Shia shrine hit by a landslide, adding that the search for survivors is ongoing.
